Luxul was established in May 2000 with the vision of becoming an industry leading Wireless ISP by developing unique signal technology that would allow for non-line-of-site connections. After successfully creating this technology, Luxul built a successful network, which it sold after reaching profitability to focus on commercializing its antenna line. Luxul then launched a series of complimentary products including amplifiers, cable, and POE solutions, as well as custom design and manufacturing based upon its wireless signal technology.

Since then Luxul has focused on the signal as the solution. Luxul has maintained a "radio agnostic" approach to wireless networking. This means any access point or wireless router can be used with Luxul products or solutions, making installations, retro-fits or upgrades simple and cost effective.
