Company
MikroTik was founded in 1995 to develop routers and wireless ISP systems. MikroTik now provides wireless ISP systems for Internet connectivity in many countries around the world - some locations are Iraq, Kosovo, Sri Lanka, Ghana, United States and many others. Our experience in using industry standard PC hardware and complete routing systems, like RouterBOARD 200, has developed into the MikroTik RouterOS software system that provides extensive stability, controls, and flexibility for all kinds of data interfaces and routing. MikroTik provides a range of installations to meet different needs of customers from all over the World. Services include consulting, data link planning, and complete installation.

Products
MikroTik's products provide customers with a range of options from purchasing a complete solution, assembled by MikroTik, to purchasing software licenses and parts that enable the customer to assemble routers and wireless components locally. The user can make a dedicated router based on PC parts and standard interfaces, or purchase a MikroTik Router with MikroTik RouterOS already installed.

Wireless
The MikroTik 5GHz and 2.4GHz Wireless product lines provides a wide range of high-performance hardware equipment to satisfy your networking needs. The MikroTik 5GHz Wireless line offers high-speed data rates at up to 72 Mb/s (60 Mb/s throughput). It provides full wireless LAN connectivity based on the IEEE 802.11a/b/g standards. The broad spectrum allocation at 5 GHz allows for more non-overlapping channels and less co-channel interference. The combination of high speeds and additional channels results in increased Wireless LAN system capacity to support many users and a wide variety of high bandwidth applications. The MikroTik 2.4 GHz Wireless line allow nominal data rates up to 11 Mb/s. These products are based on Prism II chipset and provide the best solution for many powerful wireless applications. The 2.4 GHz Wireless Card is relatively cheap, fast, and excellently works in Access Point mode.

Location
MikroTik is located in Riga, the capital city of Latvia and has more than 50 employees. MikroTik operates as a small ISP which gives it the closeness to customers to better develop routers and ISP systems.
